The IMX715 (Starvis 1. Gen) is a 8.29-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 3840 × 2160 pixel array with a 1.45 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 6.388 mm diagonal with a 0.672916667 aspect ratio, characteristic of 1/3-inch sensors widely used in embedded and surveillance systems. With 1.45 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
