The VB1940 is a 5.08-megapixel RGBNIR image sensor manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It delivers a 2560 × 1984 pixel array with a 2.25 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 7.287 mm diagonal with a 1.688194444 aspect ratio, characteristic of 1/3-inch sensors widely used in embedded and surveillance systems. With 2.25 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
