The NSC1401 is a 0.33-megapixel monochrome CMOS image sensor manufactured by NIT. It delivers a 640 × 512 pixel array with a 15 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 12.294 mm diagonal with a 0.211111111 aspect ratio, matching the 2/3-inch optical format common in professional machine vision cameras. With 15 µm pixels, the sensor features large pixels optimised for high sensitivity and dynamic range in low-light and scientific applications.
