The IMX278 is a 13.25-megapixel RGBC image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 4224 × 3136 pixel array with a 1.12 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 5.892 mm diagonal with a 2.784027778 aspect ratio, in the 1/4-inch class found in compact embedded vision modules. With 1.12 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
