The IMX689 is a 48.00-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 8000 × 6000 pixel array with a 1.12 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 11.2 mm diagonal with a 0.16875 aspect ratio, matching the 2/3-inch optical format common in professional machine vision cameras. With 1.12 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
