The ICX456 is a 8.13-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 3288 × 2472 pixel array with a 2.7 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 11.107 mm diagonal with a 137:103 aspect ratio, matching the 2/3-inch optical format common in professional machine vision cameras. With 2.7 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
