The ICX488 is a 4.11-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 2344 × 1752 pixel array with a 2.35 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 6.877 mm diagonal with a 293:219 aspect ratio, characteristic of 1/3-inch sensors widely used in embedded and surveillance systems. With 2.35 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
