The IMX206 is a 16.35-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 4672 × 3500 pixel array with a 1.4 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 8.173 mm diagonal with a 1168:875 aspect ratio, typical of the 1/2-inch optical class used in compact industrial cameras. With 1.4 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
