The IMX608 is a 39.81-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 7680 × 5184 pixel array with a 1 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 9.266 mm diagonal with a 1.685416667 aspect ratio, typical of the 1/2-inch optical class used in compact industrial cameras. With 1 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
