The OV4688 is a 7.23-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by OmniVision Technologies. It delivers a 2688 × 2688 pixel array with a 2 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 7.603 mm diagonal with a 0.042361111 aspect ratio, characteristic of 1/3-inch sensors widely used in embedded and surveillance systems. With 2 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
