The OV48B PureCel Plus-S is a 48.45-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by OmniVision Technologies. It delivers a 8032 × 6032 pixel array with a 0.8 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 8.036 mm diagonal with a 502:377 aspect ratio, typical of the 1/2-inch optical class used in compact industrial cameras. With 0.8 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
