The ICX489 is a 7.24-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 3112 × 2328 pixel array with a 2.35 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 9.133 mm diagonal with a 389:291 aspect ratio, typical of the 1/2-inch optical class used in compact industrial cameras. With 2.35 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
