The IMX017 is a 6.38-megapixel CMOS image sensor manufactured by Sony. It delivers a 2921 × 2184 pixel array with a 2.5 µm pixel pitch, providing efficient photon collection at each photosite. The optical format spans a 9.118 mm diagonal with a 2921:2184 aspect ratio, typical of the 1/2-inch optical class used in compact industrial cameras. With 2.5 µm pixels, the sensor features very fine pixel pitch targeting maximum spatial resolution in microscopy and metrology systems.
